presentation of the main results achieved by Research partners involved in WP 4 [Italy (UNIVPM and CREA-AN), Spain (UCAM), Greece (DEMETER)], related to the chemical, biochemical, and microbiological characterization of the aqueous extracts produced from spontaneous and cultivated Onopordum tauricum, Onopordum platylepis, and Cynara cardunculus
To celebrate the start of the research projects funded under the PRIMA Calls for Proposals 2018, a kick-off meeting has been held on 20 June 2019 at Agropolis International (Avenue Agropolis, 34394 Montpellier, France). In the morning, coordinators of PRIMA Section 1 and 2 projects briefly presented their research proposals and network, while in the afternoon specific sessions led by PRIMA Secretariat staff illustrated the rules for the financial and scientific monitoring of the projects, as well as the most important legal aspects.

On May 24, 2019, at 10.15 am in the “Faculty Club” of the Università Politecnica delle Marche, via Brecce Bianche, Ancona, Italy, the Principal Investigators (PI) and the research Team Members of the Partners of the VEGGIE-MED-CHEESES Consortium met, regularly convened by the Coordinator of the Project, Prof. Lucia Aquilanti.
The agenda of the meeting included flash presentation of VEGGIE-MED-CHEESES partners and their role into the project, seats assignation in the VEGGIE-MED-CHEESES management bodies, first WP1 and WP7 achieved deliverables, and specific techno-scientific aspects related to work packages (WP) 2 to 6.
